Mom’s Touch Spicy Gim-Tteok-Man
What does the Mom’s Touch Spicy Gim-Tteok-Man taste like?
There’s a Mom’s Touch near my place, and at some point I heard that their Spicy Gim-Tteok-Man (a seaweed and rice cake combo) was really good. What does it taste like? Does it have chili sauce? Or is it just generically spicy? Every time I walked past it on my commute, I’d think “I should try it today,” but I kept missing my chance. Then today, on my way home, it happened to cross my mind and I stopped in front of the Mom’s Touch.
How long had it been? It must have been almost a year since I first heard about the Spicy Gim-Tteok-Man.
What on earth does it taste like?
When I finally tried it, it was just hot. Nothing more. I won’t be having it again.
Let’s Start Taking Notes
I never really found a stable place to jot down notes (sounds like an excuse, I know).
So I’d been scattering memos across KakaoTalk’s “Message to Myself” feature, or tucking them away in some corner of Notion.
By spreading my curiosities around like that, so many of them ended up vanishing from memory before I ever got to them.
Now that I’ve built this blog to a decent state and finally have a space to display things where I actually look, I’ve decided to start leaving my notes here.
Simply to record things I’ve been curious about, unresolved questions, and any answers I find along the way.
And maybe someone who knows the answer will leave a note for me.
Or perhaps it’ll help someone else who shares the same curiosity.
Astro
I needed to build a component to hold these questions, so I decided to make it as an Astro component. I got it implemented and working, but explaining it alongside Astro’s features would make this post way too long. The detailed explanation will have to wait for another time.
